Gate Closure

Johnson Road Gate will close Friday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. and will remain closed until Tuesday, Feb. 19 due to the President’s Day holiday. Johnson Road Gate will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 a.m. All personnel needing access to the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany during this closure should use the Main Gate on Fleming Road. MORE

Base employee to receive Presidential Citizens Medal

Pamela Jackson, community plans liaison officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, will be awarded the 2012 Presidential Citizens Medal, the nation’s second-highest civilian honor at the White House, Friday, according to a White House press release. Base to commemorate Black History Month

Mission

As a component of the Marine Corps’ supporting establishment, MCLB Albany provides facilities infrastructure and a range of tailored support services enabling supported commands aboard the installation to accomplish their assigned missions in support of the warfighter.

MCLB Albany is dedicated to the success and welfare of our:

  • Supported commands and agencies, particularly Marine Corps Logistics Command and its components;
  • Marines, Sailors and other service members—and their families;
  • Civilian personnel;
  • The surrounding community, especially Dougherty, Lee and Worth counties.

Within capabilities, MCLB Albany is also prepared to serve as a designated safe haven for the Marine Corps and other Department of Defense agencies within the southeast and gulf coast regions during times of threat and recovery from destructive weather and emergency situations.
