School Advisory Council (SAC)

The purpose of the Ansbach Middle High School Advisory Council (SAC) is to act as a liaison between the school and the community to assure a positive school environment for the students who attend the school. Members of the SAC listen to issues and concerns about various school-related programs and policies, such as, matters affecting the operation of the school, including school policies, instructional programs, budget, facilities, maintenance, administrative procedures, pupil personnel services, educational resources, program evaluation, student standards of conduct, school meal programs, and other education-related matters. The SAC advises the Installation Commander on improvements for dependents' education, including matters related to administrative and logistical support and any other school matters, which fall within the jurisdiction of the Installation Commander. The SAC provides comments and recommendations on matters that are decided at higher levels but which have impact upon the school. Such matters include DODEA policy matters and budget plans and priorities for local schools.
The SAC is NOT, however, a forum for complaints about particular teachers, staff, or administrators.

Although the number of voting members is limited and determined by election, everyone is welcome to attend SAC meetings to voice important issues and concerns. School enrollment numbers determine the number of voting members. Each school SAC has approximately 6 voting members, based on ballpark enrollment figures of 300 students at each school.

SAC meetings are held the every other month on the second Tuesday at the high school starting at 3:15 p.m.
Parents representatives are elected every fall. To find out more about SAC, please call the main office at 09802-832808/809 (CIV) or 467-2808/809 (DSN).

The Installation Advisory Committee (IAC)

The Installation Advisory Committee (IAC) is lead by parents and teachers selected from the local school advisory Committees. The BSB Commander, Schools Liaison Officer and local principals attend as non-voting members.

The IAC is led by the USAG Ansbach Commander and includes one parent and one teacher representative from each school as voting members. School principals and the School Liaison Officer also attend these meetings, which are held at least once each quarter in the USAG Ansbach Conference Room.  For future scheduled meetings, call your school's liaison officer for exact times and dates.

Parent Volunteer Program

Ansbach Middle High School welcomes parent volunteers in our school. In the past, parents have been a key resource and have assisted in numerous student activities and events. Some of the ways parents have helped out in the past are as timekeepers at sporting events, guest lecturers, chaperones, classroom helpers, and facilitators on special projects. Any skill or interest parent volunteer has can be matched with a need in the school. For more information please call the Main Office at 09802-832808/809.
