Consulate working hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. U.S. Citizens needing emergency services should use the emergency phone number for emergencies arising on weekends, U.S. and Brazilian holidays, and on normal working days before 7:30 am or after 4:30 pm.
U.S. Citizen and Notary Services
The American Citizens Services unit schedules appointments for all customers needing non-emergency services, including passports, reports of birth, Immigrant Visa petitions and notary services. By scheduling appointments we can provide better, more efficient service to the public. Emergency services do not require an appointment. Emergencies include – death, arrest, stolen or lost passports. Please note that filing for IV, travel letters, “cedula consular”, Social Security issues, voting and etc are considered other services.
