House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and other groups from throughout the country.

Digital Assistant

Position Summary: The Creative Editor is responsible for developing online media content, including graphics, video, micro-sites and other creative tasks.

Applicants should be passionate about Democratic campaigns.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating of new content areas and interactive elements for the DCCC website, email list, and social networks
  • Graphic design and Audio/Video editing
  • Creating targeted micro-sites
  • Ongoing maintenance of existing web content
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • Proficiency with Photoshop/Illustrator or other graphic design software
  • Experience with Premiere or other video editing software
  • Ability to manage vendors and consultants
  • Familiarity with web-based content management systems
  • Good time management, planning, troubleshooting, and communications skills
  • Availability during evening and weekend hours

Finance Assistant

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the National Finance Director in the day-to-day fundraising operations for the entire DCCC Finance Department.
  • Serve as the liaison between the regional Finance teams and the National Finance Director and ensure items, including event briefings, invitations, call sheets, and employee forms, are approved or addressed in a timely manner.
  • Set up and prepare call time for Democratic House Leadership.
  • Provide key administrative and organizational support to the National Finance Director.

Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Scheduling, monthly expense reports, booking travel, and compiling event and finance meeting briefing binders and meeting packets.
  • Assist with the event production for all large National events.
  • Other duties as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Travel is sometimes required for this position.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Director of Direct Marketing

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, creative, talented, and self-motivated marketing expert to lead the DCCC direct marketing team and maximize its capacity for fundraising through its direct mail and telemarketing communications for the 2014 cycle. The ideal candidate will be committed to making the DCCC a leader in political fundraising, and messaging through its grassroots fundraising channels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages direct marketing team and extensive network of vendor partners for daily direct marketing operations;
  • Tracks and reports the direct marketing budget, revenue, and expenditures to Senior Leadership Team;
  • Oversees all aspects of DCCC Marketing Database;
  • Develops and incorporates compelling fundraising messaging;
  • Reviews and edits fundraising copy and scripts;
  • Supervises all telemarketing fundraising campaigns;
  • Oversees approval of production of direct mail pieces on tight deadlines;
  • Manages DCCC list management;
  • Manages department compliance with FEC;
  • Participates in strategic planning sessions;
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives;
  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Three years or more of direct response marketing experience in an agency or non-profit setting required;
  • Must be willing to commit to position for two years;
  • Superior time management, planning, troubleshooting, and communications skills;
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and work both independently and with other departments in accomplishing goals;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and statistical analysis;
  • Prior experience in management;
  • Excellent writing, proofreading skills, proficiency with Excel is required.

Regional Finance Assistant

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting. Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the Regional Finance Director in the day to day fundraising operations for the specific region;
  • Assist in the development and execution of all fundraising events conducted in the Southern region.
  • Research and identify prospective donors in preparation for various events in cities throughout the region.
  • Prepare donor meeting and event materials, and fundraising reports as necessary.
  • Manage the NGP donor database for the region.
  • Other duties as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Previous political fundraising experience.
  • NGP experience is required.
  • Travel is sometimes required for this position.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to electing Democratic House Members of Congress for the 2014 election cycle.

Deputy DC Finance Director

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and other groups from throughout the country.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads the day to day fundraising operation for the Mid-Atlantic Region; focusing on Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
  • Oversees events conducted in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Works closely with members of the DC PAC community
  • Works with Members of Congress as well as the donor community in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Prepares donor meeting and event materials as necessary.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Reports to the Washington, DC Finance Director

Required Skills:

  • One previous cycle of political fundraising experience is required. Please do not apply if you do not have this experience.
  • NGP experience is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
