Being selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is an honor reserved for only the Nation’s most exceptional high school football players, as only the strongest wear the Army colors. As a U.S. Army All-American, these young men join the ranks of gridiron greats including Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck, Marcus Lattimore, Robert Woods and many other college and NFL stars. These young Americans have earned their selection by displaying some of the very same characteristics found in every Army Strong Soldier, on and off the field.

Get the details on each of this year’s U.S. Army All-Americans and what strengths they’ll bring to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Washington contributed on both sides of the ball as a junior, scoring 11 times on offense and pulling down two interceptions from his defensive back position. Despite having size typical of a safety, Washington has the hips of a cornerback, allowing him to cover most wide receivers. He is a steady performer, and is quick to come up and provide run support for his defense. As Washington adds more size and bulk, he could turn into a very good free safety at the college level.
