Koehler is a road grader of a guard, possessing great strength and size that he uses to simply move defenders out of his path. In his pass sets, Koehler again uses his strength and size to defeat power rushers from the defensive tackle position. Koehler does a very good job of coming off the ball and delivering a good initial punch to the defender. As a junior, he helped Saint Louis light up the scoreboard to the tune of 31 points per game.
