Hunt of a Lifetime
"Hunt of a Lifetime" is a program with a mission is to grant hunting and fishing adventures and dreams for people age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. Letterkenny supports and orchestrates memorable hunting experiences for children in the program. This year the Depot hosted a two day Hunt of a Lifetime event for three participants that were able to harvest one 8-point buck and two doe. Over the four year existence of the program the Depot has supported 11 participants in the program. The hunt is organized under the direction of the Directorate of Public Works and in coordination with Letterkenny Munitions Center and Directorate of Risk Management along with support from other Depot Directorates. Volunteers for the hunt help ensure that hunters have a safe and successful experience.
