This outreach training will provide organizational leaders and professionals with a guided tour of tax credits that can result in higher income tax refunds for the consumers they serve. This valuable training opportunity does not require prior knowledge of tax preparation.

For those who choose to embark on this journey, great treasures await. Larger tax refunds for consumers and clients result in:

  • Decreased reliance on social services, which lets more funds be available to help more people
  • Increased capacity for giving that comes with having more money
  • A needed income boost in this challenging economic environment for the underemployed, students, parents and grandparents

This guided tour will take participants on an exciting and interactive learning excursion into the world of tax credits. The training is available at multiple Mississippi State Extension Offices (see below).

This event is free; however, registration is required by Friday, Oct. 26, as space is limited.

Presented by the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Mississippi State University Extension Service and the IRS.
