Senior Economic Advisor
Charles Carlstrom is an economic advisor in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In this role, he conducts research and authors articles on monetary economics and public finance.
Prior to joining the Bank in 1987, Dr. Carlstrom taught economics at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
A native of San Diego, Dr. Carlstrom earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and a master's degree and doctorate in economics from the University of Rochester, New York. Dr. Carlstrom is a member of the American Economics Association.
