Healthy Communities: The Intersection of Community Development and Health

Sept. 28, 2011
Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch

Sponsored by
Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Amid the reforms of the American health care system, a movement to improve health on the community level has been gaining traction. This movement promotes not only access to health care but access to healthier environments and nutritious food.

On Sept. 28, 2011, leaders from the community development and health sectors joined us to:

  • Learn about social influences on health,
  • Hear how the community development and health sectors are collaborating,
  • Network with leaders in community development and health, and
  • Brainstorm new ways to leverage each other's resources and partner to achieve common goals.
