APS Accelerator Systems Division
The Accelerator Systems Division (ASD) provides engineering and physics support for the Advanced Photon Source and pursues research and development profitable to the science of accelerators and future light source technologies.
The ASD Magnetic Devices group builds, measures, and maintains a large number of insertion devices for generation of x-rays, as illustrated in this diagram.
