Child Support Toolkit & Training
Our experience tells us that effective child support tools coupled with family-centered services will improve the reliability of child support payments. Our toolkit contains innovative family-centered strategies, data-based policies and practices, and customer-focused services that are summarized in the following fact sheets and informational maps:
- Promoting Child Well-Being & Family Self-Sufficiency - highlights examples of the family-centered approach that child support programs are undertaking nationwide to successfully serve all 17.5 million children in our program
- Project to Avoid Increasing Delinquencies (PAID) - continues our long-running PAID initiative to emphasize child support activities that increase the collection of current support and prevent and reduce arrears
- Story Behind the Numbers - takes a closer look at data collected by state, tribal and federal agencies to inform policy and practice and strengthen program outcomes
- Program Innovation Maps - provides information on promising state and local programs or practices designed so that child support is a reliable source of income for families
