Micro Hybrid Vehicles

Micro Hybrid Vehicles allow the internal combustion engine to shut down when the vehicle stops in traffic, and restart quickly to launch the vehicle. Fuel is conserved by reducing the time spent idling. Various technologies including starters, alternators, batteries, and direct injection may be used with enhanced control strategies to enable the engine stop and restart. These vehicles are not considered hybrid electric vehicles, because electrical energy is not used to propel the vehicle.
