Assistant Deputy Secretary Kevin Jennings to Visit North Carolina to Meet with American Indian Students, Parents, Education Officials, Tribal Leaders

Kevin Jennings, assistant deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, will visit North Carolina Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, to meet with American Indian students, parents, education officials and tribal leaders. Rivers of the World' Student Art Opens Tuesday, Inspired by D.C.'S Anacostia River, London's Thames River

To help recognize International Education Week, eighth- and ninth-grade student artworks inspired by Washington, D.C.'s Anacostia River will be on display beginning Tuesday in the lobby of the U.S. Department of Education alongside student artworks illustrating London’s Thames River.
