JOB SUMMARY: The Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) central information technology management organization and is responsible for overseeing USDA agencies and staff offices in the planning, design, development, acquisition, implementation, use, control, operations, maintenance, use, and disposal of information technology; and for monitoring the performance of USDA's information technology programs and activities.

The duties of the position described are considered to be Public Trust in scope and are classified at the moderate risk level. The successful candidate will be required to complete, and have favorably adjudicated, a Limited Background Investigation (LBI). An unfavorably adjudicated background investigation will be immediate grounds for removal from the position.

The individual selected for this position will provide administrative support to a headquarters staff responsible for developing, publishing and promulgating telecommunications policies throughout a Cabinet-level, Federal Department
