#FL 65 - FLANDERS POPPY (Papaver rhoes) - The famous poppy from Flanders Fields that inspired the artificial poppies distributed on Memorial Day!   A native of Europe that can be grown throughout the United States.  Two to three inch blooms are fire engine red with purple-black centers, with the plants reaching a height of 24 to 30 inches.  Performs best if grown in the fall throughout the southern regions of the United States, or early spring in the northern regions of the United States.   Flanders poppy can take up to 30 days to germinate.  Does not transplant well.   Annual.

#FL 111 - JOB’S TEARS  (Coix lacroyma-jobi) -  This very interesting ornamental grass has thin, droopy foliage, and is usually grown for the unique seeds it produces.
