February 6 UNT Dance Marathon: Executive Board Applications are due

Dance Marathon is a philanthropic event on university campuses nationwide. This event occurs at more than 80 universities nationwide raising money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network. At the University of North Texas, the inaugural Dance Marathon will culminate into a final celebration of a crazy, fun 12-hour dance-a-thon!

Dance Marathon combines music, food, games, and theme hours, as well as, dancing in our twelve hour, campus-wide event! Dancers receive donations for volunteering to stay on their feet for the duration of the event. Download the application (pdf).

April 4 Black Leadership Conference

The Coalition of Black Organizations and the Black Graduate Student Association are hosting the Black Leadership Conference on April 4, 2009. The theme for this year's conference is "Empowerment through Education: Leadership at All Levels". If interested in presenting on the various aspects of African American Leadership, please consider applying.

The University of North Texas invites you to participate in the 12th annual Mean Green Fling! This back-to-school event will take place on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Library Mall area in the heart of UNT's campus. The entire campus community is invited to attend the Mean Green Fling, which will take place immediately following New Student Convocation. This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect and get excited about upcoming academic year. Local community partners as well as more than 400 student organizations are invited to be a part of the experience and offer ways for students to get involved. This "welcome back" event will feature free food, giveaways, live entertainment, and other fun activities.

Enjoy an exciting start to college, meet new people, and get everything you need for school, including a free Target gift bag, at the essential event of move-in week. This Shopping Event is only open after hours to UNT students and has everything essential for a great start to college: music, refreshments, shopping, free giveaways, great prizes and a few thousand of your new best friends. We'll even get you there and back. All you need to do is show up. It's the perfect opportunity to meet new people, have fun and get everything you need for a smart start to school!

An informational for freshman and transferring students where representatives from different majors and classes (sophomore, junior and seniors) help to actively engage those students in this new experience by answering questions they may have as well as giving advice. The Student Activities Center is hosting "A Night at the Movies" as a fun break for students to meet and enjoy a movie on the lawn. Just bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Activities will include snacks, giveaways and a blockbuster film on a large screen.
