The Treasurer's Office is the property tax collector for the County of Bernalillo. Your property taxes are distributed to Albuquerque Public Schools, Central New Mexico Community College, the City of Albuquerque, Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, State of New Mexico, University of New Mexico, and other taxing entities within Bernalillo County. More than 270,000 property tax bills, plus approximately 33,000 delinquency notices, are mailed by the County Treasurer's Office annually. The County Assessor sets the assessed property valuation and the County Commission sets the tax rate for the County. Other tax rates are set by the individual taxing entities with final approval by the State's Department of Finance and Administration.

Property Tax Due Dates
Bernalillo County Treasurer Patrick J. Padilla reminds property owners that 2008 property taxes are due and penalty and interest are assessed as follows:
First half taxes are due December 10, 2008 and are delinquent December 11, 2008.
Second half taxes are due May 10, 2009 (Saturday) and will become delinquent on May 12, 2009.(Tuesday)
Property Tax Payment Methods
Payments may be made On Line or, in person at the Bernalillo County Treasury located at the Government Center, One Civic Plaza NW Lower level from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM Monday- Friday. Additionally, your payments may be mailed to Bernalillo County Treasurer P.O. Box 627, Albuquerque, NM 87103-0627 or placed in drop boxes throughout the County.
Debit card transactions are accepted at the Treasurer’s Office.
