The Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade recognizes individuals, foreign trade associations, and government agencies for supporting US exports. These organizations have achieved a high level of excellence in facilitating the services and export sales and have made a substantial impact on the economic development in Western PA.

2007 Export Certificate of Appreciation Recipients

Penelec, a FirstEnergy Company, recognized the opportunities for American companies to sell their products and services overseas and established the "Export Now" program.  Utilizing the programs provided by the U.S. Commercial Service, 14 manufacturing companies from Penelec's service area have participated in the "Export Now" Program and as a result have generated qualified sales leads and projected export sales of over $4 million.

Penelec was presented with the "Export Achievement Certificate" by Congressman Phil English (PA-03) at the U.S. Commercial Service Luncheon following the Congressman's 5th Annual Business Development Conference and Expo, August 7, 2007.
