Universal Wastes: Universally Confusing
- EPA Region 2 and the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation are hosting a workshop for Federal Facilities at EPA
Region 2's Office in New York City on July 27, 2005 from
10 am to 12 pm. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a review
of the current universal waste requirements in New York State and
to discuss proposed changes to these requirements under consideration
by New York State. For more information, contact Kathleen
Malone, EPA Region 2 Federal Facilities Program Manager. Her
number is 212-637-4083.
Environmentally Beneficial Landscaping - Executive Order 13148 also requires that Federal Agencies adopt
environmentally beneficial landscaping practices on federalgrounds,
purchase environmentally-preferable and recycled-content landscaping
products; and encourage nonfederal grant recipients to do so as
well. This brochure was recently developed by EPA Region 2 to help
federal facilities comply with this Order. For more information
on environmentally preferable landscaping, call Diane Buxbaum, the
pollution prevention coordinator for EPA Region 2's Federal Facilities
Program at 212-637-3919 or E-mail her at buxbaum.diane@epa.gov. |
