The Tools and Technology (T2) data created by O*NET provides information on the types of machines, equipment, tools, and software that workers may use to perform effectively in their workplace. These lists should not be considered entirely exhaustive but representative of what an employee may use. The emphasis is on state-of-the-art technology and practices that are new. Career Voyages specifically highlights for each industry the tools and technology of an occupation typically requiring just a high school diploma, an occupation requiring some postsecondary education and training, and an occupation requiring either a bachelor's degree or higher. For example, in Transportation, you will have the opportunity to learn about the tools and technology used by Industrial Truck and Tractor Operators; Aircraft Mechanics and Service Technicians; and Airline Pilots, Copilots, and Flight Engineers.
