The Online Ordering System replaced a paper-based/fax system used by health-care professionals to order Diabetes Educational materials. The new web-based system includes an ordering system, an approvals system, and inventory system. Transactions are automated with status and notification emails sent to appropriate parties throughout the transaction cycle. Order accuracy was improved considerably, and processing time by the Diabetes Program personnel was reduced by approximately 72%.
