Q: Where is ATC located?
A: The Center is located in Room 2070 of the Main Interior Building, Washington DC on C Street, NW.


Q: When is the ATC open for services?
A: The ATC is open Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.

Q: What is Assistive Technology?
A: Any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off-the-shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. (Source - RESNA Assistive Technology Resource Book, 1990)

Q: Does the ATC purchase accommodations for DOI employees?
A: Equipment is purchased for Interior employees through and agreement with Department of Defense's CAP program. Call the Center for more information or fill out the CAP Request form and fax it to us at 202-208-5174.


Q: What is Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act?
A: Section 508 requires Federal agencies to develop, procure, maintain and use electronic and information technology that is accessible to employees and members of the public with disabilities. For more information, check www.section508.gov.
