Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) for Psychological Health & Traumatic Brain Injury
A collaborative effort within the Department of Defense (DoD) that works to improve psychological health and traumatic brain injury (TBI) treatment of Service Members. Component organizations include the Defense & Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC), the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP), the Deployment Health Clinical Center (DHCC), the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE).
DoD Deployment-Related Medical Research Program
Addresses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and mitigation of deployment-related injuries and psychological health concerns of deployed military personnel.
DoD Mental Health Self-Assessment (MHSA) Program
Provides military families and Service Members affected by deployment and mobilization a mental health and alcohol screening and referral program. The Self Assessment for Veterans service is voluntary and anonymous, and it is offered online, by phone, and through special events held at installations and reserve units.
Airing on Thursdays at 3 p.m. (EST), each radio program provides information on military health. Tune in to learn about managing stress, brain injury, combat stress and much more.
