Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-11)
On March 30, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009. This Public Law (P.L. 111-11) established and/or modified a significant number of Wild and Scenic Rivers, Wilderness and other Congressionally Designated Areas.
Description of Wild and Scenic Rivers Administered by the Forest Service
The following document describes each Wild and Scenic River administered by the Forest Service, including its classification by segment (wild, scenic or recreational). The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (10/02/1968, PL 90-542) establishes an interim corridor of one-quarter mile from the ordinary high water mark on each side of the river, pending development of the final corridor boundary.
