eeBuildings Overview
eeBuildings helps building owners, managers, and tenants improve the energy efficiency of their buildings worldwide. eeBuildings forms partnerships with organizations such as multinational corporations, local businesses and NGOs, and government agencies that share eeBuildings' goal of improving energy efficiency to save energy and money.

eeBuildings works to take the success and lessons from EPA's energy-efficiency programs, especially ENERGY STAR, to international audiences in order to improve energy efficiency in buildings.

A variety of tools and resources are available to assist with the planning and implementation of energy-efficiency projects. Key elements of eeBuildings are: 1) technical resources and training; 2) links to others with related goals; and 3) recognition for implementing or promoting energy efficiency in commercial buildings.

The program is completely funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and is free of charge to all participants.

eeBuildings Outreach
In addition to operating this website, eeBuildings staff attend conferences and travel to partner countries to conduct presentations, trainings, and interactive group meetings to help building owners, managers, and tenants approach energy-efficiency improvements as investment opportunities.

History of eeBuildings
eeBuildings was created by EPA to promote voluntary action to improve energy efficiency in buildings. Field activities have been initiated in Brazil, China, and the Philippines.

EPA believes that voluntary energy efficiency measures are an excellent strategy to reduce air pollution while increasing the reliability of energy supplies and strengthening economies.
