Regulations.gov allows the public to search for and view a description of rules currently open for comment, read full texts of these documents, and submit comments to federal rulemaking dockets. It provides one-stop, on-line access to every open rule published by more than 150 different federal agencies, including EPA.

Regulations.gov serves as EPA’s electronic public docket and on-line comment system. It offers federal agencies the ability to post various publicly available documents routinely associated with regulatory dockets, as well as non-regulatory material.

EPA includes in Regulations.gov all relevant materials submitted by EPA regulatory staff and the public. Documents from previously established paper dockets will be included in Regulations.gov as resources allow and will remain available, in paper form, by contacting the appropriate docket.

Please note: EPA’s policy is that public comments, whether submitted electronically or in paper, will be made available for public viewing at www.regulations.gov as EPA receives them and without change, unless the comment contains copyrighted material, confidential business information (CBI), or other information whose public disclosure is restricted by statute.
