Congressional
Internships
Internships can be an excellent opportunity for students and
recent college graduates to gain valuable work experience
and obtain first-hand knowledge of Congress. I offer internship
opportunities in my Washington, DC and Los Angeles offices
on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities are largely administrative
and include assisting constituents, opening mail, answering
telephones, and working on special projects. |
Congressional
Pageships
The U.S. House of Representatives Page Program offers high
school students the unique opportunity to experience Congress
in action and assist in official House duties. Rather than
working in an individual Member's office, pages work as a
team on the House floor with their peers from around the country.
To qualify, applicants must be juniors in high school, be
at least sixteen years old, and have a 3.0 grade point average
or better. |
Applicants should be professional,
courteous, well-organized, and they should possess excellent written and oral
communication skills.
To apply
for an internship, please send a resume and cover letter to
the office to which you are applying.
To apply
for a pageship, please send a resume and cover letter to the
Los Angeles office.
