The DOC Accounting team has won a Gold Star Award from the State Controller's Division for financial reporting for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006.
General Services
Contracts and Bids
Purchasing and Contracts is responsible for innovative, responsive and accountable public procurement and contracting.
Facilities Services
Facilities Services is responsible for administering the department's repair and maintenance program for existing institutions, management of the department's leased facilities, wireless communications program, energy conservation and sustainability efforts and development of policies ensuring code compliance in maintenance and repair activities.

Fiscal Services
Fiscal Services operations comprise the backbone of the financial support for the department. Fiscal Services is made up of five units:
- Central Accounting
- Central Trust
- Contracts and Purchasing
- AFAMIS Support
- Statewide Business Services
Payroll and Benefits
The Department of Corrections Payroll Unit is responsible for the centralized processing of agency-wide payroll information.

In addition to payroll processing, the unit updates and maintains agency employee payroll files and provides technical assistance and training to staff concerning timesheet preparation, payroll rules and procedures, and deduction information in compliance with appropriate laws, rules, procedures, and labor agreements.
General Services
Distribution Services
Distribution Services is the primary logistics support operation for the department. Distribution Services manages statewide inventory (stock and non stock items); monitors and disposes of non-expendable assets; develops statewide food service standards and operational oversight related to feeding inmates; and manages the inmate commissary (canteen) program for prisons located throughout the state.
Information Services
Three units comprise the department's information services unit:

Operations maintains application software on the departments servers. The department systems operate 24 hours-a-day, everyday.

Technical Support provides support to the department's desktop computers, troubleshoots local hardware and software problems, provides a telephone-accessible helpdesk, and generally supports the end user of technology.

Development writes and maintains the department's centrally managed applications, for example, the Corrections Information System.
