State statutes and local
ordinances provide considerable authority for public health enforcement actions. This
module will help you understand the steps, basic principles, legal rules surrounding
enforcement, and basic rules of evidence so that you can conduct compliance activities in
a manner which supports the enforcement process. You will also learn more about working
efficiently and effectively with attorneys to prepare and prosecute enforcement actions.
