The Plain English Network (PEN) is an informal
Government-wide group dedicated to improving communications from
the Federal Government to the public. The group provides services
to encourage use of plain language to communicate better, increase
compliance, and improve public relations. The PEN training is
based on the handbook, Writing User Friendly Documents,
which was established as the standard for plain language in June
1998. |
