This 1993 atlas is the first published product of the Pennsylvania Flora Database, created and maintained at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. It focuses on updated, specimen-based, site-specific data from the earlier work by Edgar T. Wherry, John M. Fogg, Jr. and Herbert A. Wahl, Atlas of the Flora of Pennsylvania (1979). It chronicles herbarium collections made from the late 1800s to 1992 in all parts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as updating changes in the flora observed from earlier works. It contains over 3500 maps and includes habitat information specific to the state.
