Mechanical Design Section
What We Do:
The Mechanical Design Section serves the Portland District by providing design support for mechanical features of large Civil Works projects, such as flood control dams, river navigation structures, powerhouses, fish hatcheries, and fish bypass facilities. In addition, we provide engineering support to the District’s operating Projects with regard to new installations or modifications of existing mechanical systems. Our responsibilities include the following:

- Dam Safety Inspections and Evaluations of existing District Projects
