Environmental Pathology Training Grant The training program emphasizes concepts in basic pathology and “state of the art” approaches such as computer-assisted teaching in environmental pathology, cell imaging, and molecular and cellular approaches for studying mechanisms of environmental disease. The program faculty are drawn from seven departments with research specialties falling into three broad interactive areas: mechanisms of DNA damage and repair, cell signaling and control of mitogenesis and cell death. Other resources of the training program include the Environmental Pathology and Cell Signaling Seminar Series, a Center of Biomedical Research Excellence in Translational Research in Lung Biology and Disease, and a Cell Imaging Facility.
