What is the VA Healthcare - VISN 4 Network?
It is a U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs' health care system that includes 10 medical centers and approximately 45 community-based outpatient clinics in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and several counties in West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, and New York. There are approximately 1.5 million veterans living in our network's service area.

What services can an eligible veteran receive?
VA provides a Medical Benefits Package, a standard enhanced health benefits plan available to all enrolled veterans. This plan emphasizes preventive and primary care, and offers a full range of outpatient and inpatient services within VA health care system. Do you have volunteers? How can I volunteer?
Yes, over 6,000 regularly scheduled volunteers - including about 1,200 youth volunteers ages 19 and under - assist our staff in serving veterans. More than 30,000 other occasional volunteers visit our medical centers to help with patient activities. Volunteers spend nearly 700,000 hours helping veterans! Please contact your local VA medical center to learn more about the opportunities available for both regularly scheduled and intermittent volunteering. Are there any VA Vet Centers in your service area?
Yes, there are twelve VA Vet Centers in our service area. They provide such services as neighborhood counseling for individuals and groups, and housing assistance. To find the closest Vet Center, please contact your nearest VA medical center, or visit the national Vet Center Directory.
