Description: The information in TBI Data Collection was compiled by the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators (NASHIA) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (Injury Center) to help states build population-based traumatic brain injury (TBI) registries by leveraging existing funds, data systems, resources, and activities within each state.  The main source of information was a survey of state government brain injury policies conducted by NASHIA. WISQARS TM (Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System) is the Injury Center's interactive, online database that provides customized injury-related mortality data and nonfatal injury data.
