About Us

The Financial and Logistics Integrated Technology Enterprise (FLITE) Program is a multi-year initiative to standardize business processes and modernize the information technology environment supporting financial and asset management within the VA.  The program has two primary components, a financial management component, referred to as the Integrated Financial Accounting System (IFAS) and an asset management component referred to as the Strategic Asset Management System (SAM).  In addition, the FLITE Program includes VA’s Financial Reporting Data Warehouse (FRDW) service that integrates VA’s core accounting system (Financial Management System (FMS)), and its financial feeder systems by facilitating reconciliation and an audit trail between FMS and the system interfaces through a data warehouse.

What We Do

The FLITE Program Office oversees and coordinates all aspects of this VA initiative, including systems engineering, organizational change management, training, program management, communications, and risk and investment management, and directs multi-disciplinary efforts of VA and contractor personnel to accomplish various tasks.
