This series of "How-To" guides was designed to help States, Tribes, and local governments understand mitigation planning and to provide information and tools that go beyond the basic requirements of 44 CFR Part 201. The guides focus on initiating and maintaining a planning process that will result in safer communities, and they are applicable to jurisdictions of all sizes and all resource and capability levels.
