USER SUPPORT HOURS |

During Off Hours (evenings/weekends/holidays) call the DCRI Systems Monitoring Team (previously Operations) at (301) 496-7525 for CRIS support assistance. Do not use the page operator. Systems Monitoring Staff will provide assistance for all issues related to hardware (toner, paper), printing (paper jams, reports, labels) or system issues (applications running slowly or not working.) Systems Monitoring Staff shall refer all clinical issues to the CRIS Support Analyst on call. |

User Support
The User Support Team provides customer-focused information technology (IT) services and technical support to users in the following areas:
- Hardware
- Software
- Patient Portal
- Standard Clinical Desktop (SCD)
- Passwords
- Login IDs
- Email problems
- Computer problems
- PointSec (Remote Access Encryption)
The User Support Team is also responsible for regular preventative maintenance.
Monthly:
- Virus DAT files configured to automatically update daily.
- Virus Engines configured to automatically update three times per week.
- User assistance provided if requested/needed.
6 Months:
- Perform system scan to clean/delete unnecessary temporary files, etc.
- Ensure that Virus programs are configured properly and updated.
- Ensure that the memory is configured properly.
Annually:
- Rebuild desktops on Macs.
- Defragment hard drives on PCs/Macs.
- Edit registry (if needed) .
- Review Administrative Rights Agreement.
