Gardens.  The NIH campus grounds have many gardens and landscaped areas that provide gentle and soothing havens from the stress and worry of hospital visits and testing. Just outside of either side of the Clinical Center atrium are landscaped rectangular gardens accompanied by benches, sculptures and fountains. The Children's inn has a butterfly garden, the Administration building displays a rose garden, and the Safra Lodge has a wonderful large garden with wrought-iron cafe tables, gazebos, hydrangias and other plants, and a beautiful fountain. Many other smaller landscaped areas are scattered throughout the campus. Photos of some of these areas can be viewed on the garden photos pages.
