Position Management in Capital HR


Capital HR is a position-driven human resources system rather than an employee-driven system. By basing the system's database contents on the position itself, the Department can track information related to the position, regardless of whether there is an actual employee in a particular position. In this configuration, when the position is vacant, the common thread that binds the human resources data together is not lost.

The information used to maintain and track positions in Capital HR can potentially serve the Department in may areas of human resources, incuding organization, planning, budgeting, recruitment, and career planning. Position management is the process of assigning data to positions and moving employees in and out of those positions as appropriate. For more information see below.
