For Asbestos Professionals

You will need Adobe Reader to view some of the files on this page. See EPA's PDF page to learn more.

For Training Courses

Asbestos control professionals, training providers, and government agencies can find accredited asbestos courses in the National Directory of AHERA Accredited Courses (NDAAC). Read information about training requirements.

The NDAAC contains information about training providers and approved courses nationwide and is meant to serve as a comprehensive reference and resource document. It should be useful for those training providers who offer accredited asbestos courses and to all consumers of these training services. It is also intended for use by federal and state agencies involved in the training and accreditation of asbestos control professionals under the federal law, the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA).

The NDAAC is only available in electronic format and is no longer offered in print.

How to Use the NDAAC (PDF) (2 pp, 28K) - This file contains information and directions on how to interpret the NDAAC listings, abbreviations and codes, which will help you when using the online version of the directory.

How Data in NDAAC is Sorted

Data contained in the NDAAC directory has been sorted into various categories in order to provide users with varied search options. You may search the directory for key words (i.e., provider name, ID number, location or approving body) using the Binoculars icon (Adobe's search function) in the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Updating the NDAAC

The NDAAC is updated annually by a contractor for EPA. Updates and corrections may only be submitted by a state or regional NDAAC contact. Updates may not to be submitted to the contractor by a training provider. Training providers should contact the appropriate state or regional NDAAC contact if updates need to be made. State or regional NDAAC contacts may submit updates to EPA's contractor at any time.
