Picnicking

Nine of the eleven parks at Tuttle Creek Lake provide picnic facilities. No less than fifty picnic shelters, some reservable, are available for use by groups large and small. The six picnic shelters in the Corps of Engineers’ Outlet Park are the most popular. Nearly all of these have a sand volleyball court, fire rings and picnic grills, plenty of picnic tables and parking. The fee is $25 for a one-day reservation. Reservations are made in person at the Tuttle Creek Lake visitor center, open 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Reservations should be made at least two days in advance.

There are also numerous individual picnic sites located in all of Tuttle Creek’s parks, except the Spillway Cycle and the ORV Areas. These sites, as well as the unreserved shelters, are available on a first come, first serve basis.
