      Access to Care:

All patients must be referred to the clinics within the service. If your main primary care manager is off base you may bring a referral to the clinics and schedule an appointment on a space-available basis.

How do I get an appointment?

We are a referral clinic only. You must see your primary care manager (PCM) and they must deem it necessary for you to see an Orthopedic Provider. Your PCM must then enter a consult in the computer system to our clinic. After your consult is reviewed and approved, TriCare will call you within 30 days to schedule your initial appointment. Once specifically diagnosed and treatment is completed you will be followed up with in the clinic until resolved for that problem. You must get a new referral (from your PCM) for every surgical concern.

If I have a civilian PCM can I be seen in the Orthopedic/Podiatry Clinic?

If I have a civilian PCM can I be seen in the Orthopedic/Podiatry Clinic?

Yes, you must bring in a prescription with the procedure needed (this will be your referral). It must be approved by one of our staff surgeons then you will be booked an appointment only if space is available.

How do I get my medication prescribed by my provider refilled/renewed?

Variety of ways:
  • Simply calling the medication refill line if refills are already initiated on prescription at 719-333-3784. Be sure to have your prescription number (located on the label) with you.
  • If you're told that you're medical refill has expired, contact the clinic at 719-333-5041 to verify if an appointment is needed to have a new prescription written or if your provider will be able to enter a new request. Please plan appropriately for this service.
How do I obtain copies of medical information?

You will need to fill out and sign a medical release of information form with the Outpatient Records section.
