Blue River Dam and Reservoir

Blue River Dam is located about 38 miles east of Eugene on the Blue River, which is a tributary of the McKenzie River. The dam is one of 13 multi-purpose water projects operated by the Corps of Engineers in the Willamette Valley. The project provides for flood damage reduction, improved water quality downstream, and water-based recreation.  To learn more about recreation opportunities at Blue River Lake, click here.

Blue River Dam is a rockfill structure with a gated concrete spillway. The dam was completed in 1969 at a cost of $32 million.
