Planning

  • Planning
    • Establish Division policy on records, correspondence, and forms management.
    • Maintain command and control of planning activities for the Northwestern Division's Districts.
    • Prepare a 5 year IT Strategic Plan.
    • Prepare the annual IMA Moderization Plans (IMMP) for NWP.
    • Prepare the annual IT Acquisition Plan for NWP.

  • Financial Management
    • Budget development, execution, and review for all of IM, including budgetary/financial support to the Electronic Mail Center, the Western Processing Center, HQUSACE and other Corps of Engineers District and Agency Programs.
    • Oversee/manage a wide range of funding sources for mission assignments for outside agencies and other Corps Districts and Northwestern Division.
    • Process/review financial documents to ensure obligation and expenditure of funds are within limitations set by federal regulations.
    • Financial management for Telecommunications, Automation, Graphics, Reproduction, Copiers, Information System Usage, General and Administrative Operations.

  • Records Management
    Provides guidance for the life cycle management of all recorded information, regardless of media, and the following records management subprograms:
    • Army Recordkeeping System
    • Vital Records
    • Correspondence, Official Mail and Distribution
    • Terminology, Abbreviations and Brevity Code
    • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Program
    • Privacy Act (PA) Program
    • Reports Control Symbol (RCS)
    • Paperwork Reduction Act (OMB)

  • Mail Services
    Provide mail services through the Portland Habilitation Center (PHC) to over 800 customers of the Northwestern Division/Portland District US Army Corps of Engineers, located throughout the Portland area.

  • Information Security
    • Prepares and maintains the IM portion of the Continuity of Operation Plan (COOP).
    • Prepares and maintains the Computer Systems Accreditation.
    • Prepares and consolidates reports to HQUSACE on the Army Information Assurance Alerts and Bulletins.
    • Provides the following security related services
