Requirements & Planning Branch
Mission StatementThe Requirements & Planning Branch formulates strategic direction, plans, policies, and procedures for information technology: hardware, software, communications, acquisition, programs and services. It provides information systems security, records, publications and forms management; and, mail, messenger, copiers, library, printing and graphics services.
- Forms Management
Develops and maintains Portland District and Northwestern Division form policies and procedures. Verifies that all local forms meet regulatory/legal requirements. Develops and implements local new/revised paper and electronic forms. Implements local and higher authority initiatives. Controls the physical and electronic storage of all forms used by Portland District, and Northwestern Division.
- Publications Management
Develops and maintains Portland District and Northwestern Division publications. Develops, maintains, and implements local, new/revised paper and electronic publications. Implements local and higher authority initiatives. Verifiies that all regulatory/legal requirements are met. Controls the storage of all publications used by the District and Northwestern Division.
- Technical Library
A full-service technical library is available to provide reference and research services to the District and Division employees. Services include electronic database searches, interlibrary loan, journal article ordering, book & periodical ordering, circulation of library material, and orientations on the use of library resources and information retrieval systems. The library is also open to the public and other governmental and private agencies.
