Transforming Government |
To implement the determined attack on need that is at the core of the Faith-Based and Community Initiative (FBCI), the initiative is housed not only at the White House but also throughout relevant branches of the Federal government. Through executive order, 11 FBCI centers were created within branches of the Federal government. While the White House Office of the Faith-Based and Community Initiative coordinates overarching policy, oversees accountability, and provides other leadership, the centers located in multiple agencies of the Federal government advance the initiative’s vision in all aspects of their respective departments.
The following chart depicts the FBCI as a governing strategy aimed at helping each respective agency to meet their highest priority program goals by building public-private partnerships and testing innovative solutions.
