The Center for Biodiversity and Conservation (CBC) established at the American Museum of Natural History in 1993, is a facility dedicated to the study and conservation of biological diversity, defined as the variety of life in all its forms and the interactions among these living forms and their environment.

The Nature Conservancy Asia/Pacific program
MAB stands for the Smithsonian Institution's Monitoring and Assessment of Biodiversity Program (formerly the Man and the Biosphere Program.) Created in 1986, MAB's mission is to promote the conservation of biodiversity. MAB works internationally with governments, industries, academia, nongovernmental organizations, local communities and others to assess and monitor the biodiversity in their regions. Through an integrated approach of research and training, MAB provides scientific information and builds in-country capacity to foster the sustainable use of natural resources.

GreenCOM is the Environmental Education and Communication Project of the U.S. Agency for International Development. The SWERA clearinghouse provides information about solar and wind energy resources in thirteen partner countries, including Bangladesh, China, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Global Change Data and Information System (GCDIS) is the set of individual agency data and information systems that support global change research. Through the GCDIS, users are able to learn about the existence and location of relevant data and information resources from a wide variety of US Government agencies.
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - Established in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change assesses scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change. It does not carry out new research nor does it monitor climate related data. Rather, it bases its assessment mainly on published and peer reviewed scientific technical literature.
