Ozark Cavefish National Wildlife Refuge contains 40 acres located 20 miles west of Springfield , Missouri in Lawrence and Newton Counties.

The Refuge is managed by the staff of Mingo NWR. Established in 1991, the Refuge protects the federally-listed endangered Ozark Cavefish Amblyopsis spelaea , a blind fish that dwells in caves and springs in Arkansas , Missouri , and Oklahoma. The Refuge is closed to public use.

The Refuge also includes a separate 1.3 acre parcel located several miles away near Hearrell Spring in Neosho , Missouri . It adjoins the service's Neosho National Fish Hatchery.
